28 Weeks - baby update

We had our 28-week appointment on Friday. I had the glucose testing and another ultrasound so the doctor could see the 4 chambers of the baby's heart. All is looking really good & healthy! It was a really fun ultrasound. The baby was really active and so defined! When the ultrasound tech had the doppler tool (not sure what it's called) near the baby's head, the baby would hit it with its hand...repeatedly. We were just laughing. He/She must not have liked that. It looked like a little boxer in there. Also, its little lips were moving like a fish...it was soo cute. The baby weighs around 2 1/2 lbs and the feet measure 2 inches in length (I dont know, is that still considered big?).

The heartrate was 145 which I was surprised by because last appt. it was 130. I've been feeling pressure lately in my lower abdomen and the doctor just thinks it's because the baby's head is low. Sometimes I feel like I need to hold my baby (stomach) up or it's just going to fall out! Man, I have a long 2 1/2 months to go if I'm already feeling that!

I haven't gained that much weight since the last appt. I did lose about 5 lbs from being sick but I'm pretty sure I already gained that back. :) The doctor constantly tells me how great & healthy I look/am. He kinda scared me a little though when he was telling me that most 1st time mothers throw up during delivery. I've heard of women throwing up during delivery before but he made it sound like it was really common and it happens to most women. Is that true? Oh well, I'm not going to think anymore about that.

We're getting more & more prepared for the baby. We pick up a couple more things for the baby room. We also got our stroller/travel system....and I love it!!
