We had Aubrey's 4-month appointment on Friday. The shots this time went okay. She cried a bit more...... let's just say she was still upset when we walked out of the clinic and my shirt was wet from her tears. Sad (broke my heart). But she crashed on the ride home and was then fine :-)
Stats:
Height: 23 3/4" (34%)
Weight: 13 lbs 14 oz (61%)
Head: 40" (26%)
We found out Aubrey has eczema... which is what we were kinda thinking it was. She has very sensitive and dry skin. We just needed to use a stronger dose of hydrocortizone and some ultra hydrating lotion (and use different shampoo and soap for her). It's already looking MUCH better. The doc said it might not go away entirely though. She should grow out of it in a few months. Sometimes ezcema and allergies can go hand in hand the doc said so we're hoping she doesnt have allergies too like her daddy Joe.
I also asked the doc about her spitting up issue. She still spits up so much! I can't tell you how many burp cloths we go thru somedays. The doc classified her as a "happy spitter." The spitting doesn't bother her. Her system is just still immature. By 6 months it should be better as her body matures and her belly is bigger.
We had a little bit of a rough weekend. Aubrey's got her first cold so she woke up in the middle of the night two nights in a row because she couldn't breathe (poor thing). But it wasn't nothing a booger sucker couldn't take care of. We elevated her mattress a little and turned on the humidifier and she slept perfectly last night. Ahhhh, so glad yesterday is over. It's so sad seeing your little baby unhappy.
I never thought Aubrey looked like me. I always see strictly Joe...until today. My in-laws are always telling me they see more of me in her every time they see her. There's something about this picture today that reminded me of myself as a baby. Check it out:

Very sweet pics - totally see the resemblance! Sorry she wasn't feeling well, but aren't booger suckers the best - after you get over the scary and gross part of them?!
