If you haven’t heard by now Joe and I are expecting! We are so excited that words can’t even describe. I’m excited to blog about all my pregnancy updates (and hope your excited to read them).
Ok, so here’s the run down:
Due Date: March 1st
How far along: 11.5 weeks
I had my 12-week doctor’s appointment yesterday. The doctor tried to hear the heartbeat with that Doppler tool but couldn't. I was a little worried there for awhile but the doctor had me have yet another ultrasound (my 3rd in this pregnancy!) and everything looked great! I couldn't believe how much the baby changed. The last ultrasound I had at 8.5 weeks the baby looked like a little peanut. It now looks like a baby with arms and legs moving all over the place! That was amazing.
No, we’re not going to find out the sex of the baby (everyone’s been asking). I had a dream it is a boy but the Chinese Horoscope says I’m having a girl. We have names for both so it doesn't matter to me!
My pants have already been fitting tight for a few weeks now. My sister reassured me that even though it’s early, everyone is different. I had to go buy new pants in 1-2 sizes bigger! I figure I can wear them after the baby too.
The only craving I’ve had is pineapple. I’ve never really eaten much pineapple before but I can’t seem to get enough of it. It can’t be from the can, it has to be fresh so I learned how to cut my very 1st pineapple – not the easiest task to do!
I only got sick once….from Chinese food. It happened at work so that wasn’t very fun. My co-workers said I looked green and I felt green! I was in a meeting and all of a sudden I got really really hot and nauseous. My co-worker started fanning me with paper but I had to run to the bathroom anyways.
Other than being really tired and having to eat like every ½ hour, the first trimester went really good and I feel really lucky. My niece who is due a month and a half before me, threw up everyday in the first trimester. Poor thing.
My next doctor’s appointment is at 16 weeks: September 14th
My sister is due anyday now and I can't wait to meet my new niece or nephew!

Oh, Katie, I couldn't be more excited for you! You have so much to look forward to. Enjoy every single second! This is one lucky baby! Take care of yourself.
So glad the news is out and that you made it past your first trimester. You are going to be one cute pregnant mamma. I hope you keep me updated with pictures. I am looking forward your updates. CONGRATS!
