36 weeks....countdown continues

We had our 36-week doctor's appointment last Friday. It was an.....intertesting appointment. It was my first time getting "checked." That was weird....enough said. The doctor could feel the baby's head (what?! didn't know they could do that) so the baby is real low and the head is right where it is supposed to be. He also said I am "softening" so we are getting closer & closer. I gained a little bit more weight which I couldn't believe the number on the scale.....but I have been retaining water so some of it could be water weight. The baby's heartrate was 153, similar to the 32-week appointment. Doc said he didn't need to see me next week so my next appointment is in 2 weeks at week 38. He did tell me to take it easy and keep my feet up. My feet & ankles are pretty swollen. I was joking this weekend that I got "free" botox as even my lips are swollen!

I had a busy weekend filled with TWO baby showers. Both were GREAT turnouts and received a ton of awesome gifts. We are totally set to go now :) My sister & Anna spent the whole weekend at our house so that was a blast. The weekend went so fast, I feel like it lasted a total of 5 mintues.
